Fat Bastard Chardonnay beats more expensive wines in a blind taste test

Delightful French Wine.

A couple of years ago, a few friends and I did a wine blind tasting tests. There were about ten of us who were testing wines ranging from Php500 to around Php2,000. The Fat Bastard Chardonnay was the Php500 bottle.

Wines are wrapped in brown paper bags to conceal their brand.

We began the test by wrapping the wines in brown paper bags to conceal the labels and as soon as we finished the test began.

Getting drunk while testing wine is not an option. So to avoid getting drunk, we just tasted the wine then spit it out.

"Test tasting" wine isn't easy because it is too tempting to drink delicious wine; spitting good wine just feels too "sinful".

After an hour or so of evaluating the wines, the top scoring bottle number was finally announced.  And to everyone's surprise, the winning number belonged to the Fat Bastard Chardonnay.
