Australian TV Show '60 Minutes' features very biased anti-Duterte interview ~Share~

Warning, this Australian TV show called '60 Minutes' is showing an extremely one-sided interview featuring anti-Duterte Human rights campaigner, Cookie Diokno.  The interview is so unfair it will make you very angry.

Worst of all, is that Cookie Diokno lies about how Filipinos are taking it. We Filipinos are not afraid of Duterte, we are happy that the streets are safer.

The host of the show '60 Minutes' does not even question or argue with her position . The interviewer practically agrees with everything Diokno says. Journalism is not suppose to be like that. It is suppose to be balanced and fair.

Cookie Diokno even compares the fear of living under President Duterte with Ferdinand Marcos' martial law dictatorship.

I grew up during the Martial Law and Duterte's administration feels nothing like the Marcos years.

Her position makes me wonder if she is a PR person of the the drug lords.

Please leave a comment to share your thoughts.

  5. She is shouting to become relevant. She used to be a voice during the martial law days. After the martial law she became a forgotten entity and now she sees a chance to redeem herself and become a voice again - her last cry before she fades into total oblivion.

  7. Do you know what you are talking about, diokno? The martial law killings is far different from now. Are you following? That you can say the innocent people were being killed. The killings of the present are not innocent people. They are drug addicts, pushers, syndicates and those involved with drugs. They are armed. They fight back.against the authorities. What's wrong with you? You dumb? You also a drug coddler?

  11. Liars will go to hell. This lady is talking shit, no basis and all lies. 91% of Filipinos trust our present government and our police force. This woman is being used by loser politicians and the oligarchs for some amount. We filipinos are hoping that international press will be more fair and do further research and investigation before they release any publications so they won't appear being BIAS.

  12. Only small percentage of Filipinos are scared of our President and they are the criminals, corrupt officials, drug pushers and drug lords.
91% of us are very happy with our beloved President. We wished he was our President years ago then this drug problem wouldn't have escalated to this proportion. 60 minutes team should go to the Philippines and interview the people there to know the real story. This woman is obviously paid to be the mouthpiece of the defeated government.

  23. Though I don't live in the Philippines now, I greatly admire the newly elected Pres. Duterte for leading the change we have been seeing in the Philippines! He is just implementing the rule of law against those who break the laws of the land. I have family and relatives living in the Philippines and they informed me that they are enjoying the changes being done.

In every fight against criminality, if they don't surrender, you expect blood shed of course. Again, if you are not guilty, why be afraid? If you are, then be brave enough to face the charges because the truth will always come out.

Pres. Duterte, you are supported by the Filipino people because you showed them that you are sincere and dedicated to uplift the morale of the people and the country! Kudos to you. God bless!

  24. are you sure? you are talking as if you are a drug protector that you will be in fear of your life? Pls remember that its an all out of war against drug so if you are a good citizen then you need not to worry about. It makes the Philippines safer again like Marcos time. Again if you are rebel and a political person against Marcos that time, of course you will live in fear. Pls tell them about howthe Aquino's become a hero in the country by just dying in a planned assasination in the plane. Thank you!

  26. Obviously she's telling I lie, why? People here in the Philippines is not living in fear, people who are in fear were those who does iligal like drugs which is what our resident's focus on, to clean our country and make it a drug free country. And these people from media are the one's who are biased about it, they support the government officials who are guilty of doing nothing but to cohort with drug dealers and leaders, what our country need is a real change and our president is doing his job to change our country.

    1. You cannot compare Duterte with Marcos. They do not have the same purpose. Media can add colour to what should otherwise be black and white...

  27. How can she risk her reputation by saying those things. Martial Law like today? She could do well to visit the Philippines and find out for herself what she has talked about…
