While Duterte is busy fighting the narco-politicians, drug lords, NPA, Abu Sayyaf, and other criminals, Leni Robredo is in the US convincing Fil-Ams to oppose the President's efforts to bring prosperity, peace and order in the country.
Why is Leni trying to convince Fil-Ams to oppose Duterte? The answer is simple. Because many Fil-ams are easier to convince.
A lot Fil-Ams don't know the extent of the drug problem here. They don't walk the streets at night fearing for their lives afraid that a drug crazed person might attack them.
Leni is the Liberal Party weapon they will use to stab the President in the back so he will fail.
The basis of my opinion is an ABS-CBN news article titled Robredo urges Fil-Ams to speak up on alleged human rights violations written by Lenn Almadin-Thornhill, and posted at Aug 10 2016 02:59 PM. The article is shown below.

Robredo urges Fil-Ams to speak up on alleged human rights violation
PENNSYLVANIA - The latest number of drug-related fatalities under the Duterte administration since May 10, according to ABS-CBN's independent monitoring, is 889.
Despite criticisms and condemnations from human rights groups, and most recently from the United Nations, President Rodrigo Duterte vows to maintain his shoot-to-kill order against drug dealers.
The alarming number of killings and Duterte's crime-fighting approach have put him and Vice President Leni Robredo in a tenuous situation.
She has called on authorities to investigate those killings, and most recently, as she faced the Filipino-American community as vice-president, she urged people to speak up.
"Pero, I am just one voice. Even if I'm vice-president, I'm just one voice. I think media can do a lot as far as creating a mindset that this is not right," she said.
Robredo also expressed her concern over the lack of public outcry.
"I think all of us should do our share in making sure that this has to stop," she said.
She admitted that her role as second-in-command has certain powers, but she said she plans to do a lot more than just attend ceremonies.
"We are now in the process of trying to reinvent the Office of the Vice President, that aside from just performing ceremonial and political duties, we are trying to make it more advocacy-centered," she said.
Robredo laid out some of her plans as vice-president before 500 Filipino-Americans at the National Federation of Filipino-American Associations' (NaFFAA) 12th National Empowerment Conference held in Valley Forge.
Among the issues she said she wants to focus on are housing, poverty, and food security.
"We cannot ever solve hunger, we cannot ever solve malnutrition if we just feed and feed and feed. We have to break the cycle of poverty also," she said.
She also pledged to fight for universal health care, public education, rural development, and empowerment.

Huwag na nating gatungan ang mga pangyayari. ReplyDeleteWhat is being opposed is Violatiion of human rights ESP the act of killing... And not the war against drugs. Moral recovery is what's needed.. Not just among those people who has done serious damage to themselves/not just among our leaders... But most especially within me, within you! Look into the real issue.. The deeply rooted cause of drug addiction.. Corruption. Etc.. Do you really believe shooting/ killing will solve the problem ...we can never justify the end with the means.

ReplyDeleteAs much as we want to have no blood or less blood in this war, it is not just possible. Policemen cannot not just plead and ask drug suspects to surrender, because these people don't make it easier for them. And besides, the act of killing or what people say as violation of human rights, is not really a concern for drug lords or drug cartels, who want to immediately remove people, who can testify against them. We can't ask them to follow due process, right?

Duterte delivered it with swiftness and integrity, for her no one listen beacuse she was not elected by the masses but by the Picos machine and the yellow administration puppet in Comelec.

ReplyDeleteThis isn't an opinion. This is an accusation. This is an irresponsible click-bait headline designed to draw in hits. This is a misleading and deceiving statement. This is something that only idiotic high-schoolers will come up with.
That Robredo urges people to speak up for human rights is miles away from the claim to oppose Duterte outright. What you are inadvertently doing is limiting Duterte to nothing more than his order to shoot to kill drug criminals. Duterte is doing far more than this. He is fixing the economy, he is solving the country's traffic problems, he is trying to unite the country, etc. It is stupid to say 'speak up for human rights' = 'Oppose Duterte.' Robredo is only campaigning against the former (which may or may not have been due to Duterte's anti-drug campaign), not the entirety of Duterte's administration.
Stop this. If you're going to blog, blog intelligently. Or else shut the F up.

ReplyDeleteRobredo should first have her husband's death investigated before becoming a pawn to Mar and Pnoy in their drive to bring Duterte down. These two former leaders of the country are using Robredo and she is just plain dumb to not see it. If Leni thinks she can convince the Fil- Ams, she is in for a surprise. Pinoys abroad are pro- Duterte. And they are intelligent people, they will not be convinced that easily no matter what. Maybe she is in the US to meet with those coward Pinoys who are on the side of Pnoy and Mar and out to destroy not only Duterte, but the country as well. They have raped the Philippines from the time of the Katipuneros to the stealing of the Yolanda funds. Robredo should just stay at home and be a good mother to her kids given that she lost her husband in his drive against drugs and these two former leaders, Pnoy and Mar have something to do with his death. One will think, was this what Leni bargained for after knowing about the dangerous info about her husband's death? Could be. Really.

Napakaraming tao ang naninira sa kapwa para talaga hindi magkaroon ng pagkakaisa sa Pilipinas. Lalo na dito kay Vice Pres Leni Robredo wala naman syang ginawang masama na may matbay na ebidensya pero napakaraming balitang lumalabas na nagsasabing napakasama nyang tao at napakaraming galit sa kanya at nagsasalita ng masama na wala namang basehan kundi puro tsismis lang o haka-haka. What will happen to our country? Maybe this is the doing of countries who wants to conquer our land. God save the Philippines and our good leaders who fight for this evil, that damaged the brain of our people, that causes the crime anywhere in our country. Save this country Oh Lord with your Seal.

So devilish and trying to convince Filipinos here to fight against Duterte because that's their plan to impeach our President so that all of the investigation regarding the case against the drug lord and protectors will be goes to nothing and going back again to the old ways, protecting more drug lords, more shabu laboratory, more Chinese drug lords go in and out sa bansa natin. Whats behind her back is purely evil. Takot na mabulgar ang matagal na nilang tinatago sa publiko at si Lenie ang gagamitin nila to protect them from announcing their names to the public kaya by hook or by crook talagang papaalisin nila si President Duterte. ReplyDeleteFirst of all, where was she when innocent people's human rights were violated? There are a lot more innocent victims whose lives were taken by criminals of drug-related crimes than drug lords. Those who survived from rape, torture robbery and addiction, their lives are never the same. Our youths were robbed of their future and families of murder victims are in grief for the rest of their lives. Where was she to fight against criminality? Did she do something to curb drug crimes before? We haven't heard of her lamenting of human rights violation for victims and going after criminals. The problem we had before was most of politicians were all TALK BUT NO WALK. We finally have a president who delivers his campaign promises to take on corruption and war on drugs that most politicians were AFRAID (for their lives, cowards) and UNABLE to fight because they lack the political will and courage to take on these Herculean tasks. MABUHAY si President Digong! He has balls of a "real" man. He's determined and resolute. He's cleaning house from the top down. In the case of drug lords and their protectors, CORRUPTION goes hand in hand with illegal drugs. That's how illegal drug activities thrive in the Philippines. To me, the moment those criminals committed murder, rape, torture, robbery, robbed our kids of their future and put families in grief, THEY LOST THEIR HUMAN RIGHTS TO LIVE.
Secondly, Robredo is instigating a discord between her and the president. How is she supposed to work with President Duterte in harmony if she publicly demonizes him and speaking against his "war on drugs?" If she is against Duterte's initiative, she should get out of the way and resign as his VP. She is just another obstacle the country does not need. I think the Philippines should amend its laws regarding ONE political party for both president and vice-president. The way it is going now, you have the top two positions butting heads because of different political ideologies and self-serving interests at stake. Kanya-kanyang diskarte which is what seems like Robredo is doing, probably gearing for the presidency next election. I guess, for politicians it's never too early for "papogi" points pandering for votes.
