Who created the scandal? De Lima or Duterte? Is it a lie or the truth? ~SHARE~

Senator Leila de Lima and entertainment reporter Roldan Castro who was mistaken as alleged lover, Ronnie Dayan.

De Lima did not confirm whether what Duterte said was true or a lie. Instead, she called for the President to have 'decency' and also accused him of 'character assassination'.

Decency? The president did not cause of the problem. It was De Lima, who because of her alleged adulterous sexual relationship with her driver created an indecent situation.

All Duterte did was reveal her alledged actions to the public.  Does the public have the right to know? Of course we do.

I am not being moralistic, but isn't it the government who set certain standards of behaviour for government officials concerning their private and public life.

Of course critics will say that president too is immoral. Sure, but 1) he didn't hide it and people voted him into office despite knowing his ways. 2) This issue is not about the president, it is about De Lima's behavior.

Why did it need to be the President to expose the true De Lima?
I think the president did it himself because as president is free from lawsuits while he is in office. Knowing him, I don't think he wanted anyone to get into legal trouble for revealing the truth.

Let's face it, if it was someone else who revealed De Lima's activities, the full might of Liberal Party could be used against the 'revealer'.

Duterte has taken great personal sacrifice and exposed himself to the risk of litigation once he leaves office but yet he has done so for the sake of the nation.
